How do I change my user name in yahoo without closing account?

I just dont want my name as my user name anymore. I read that may not be a good idea. I dont want to close account but will if neccessary.How do I change my user name in yahoo without closing account?
Sign into your account, then click YOUR USER NAME button in the upper right corner next to WELCOME, sign in again and change what needs changing. You can also click OPTIONS and then MY ACCOUNT INFORMATION on the left side.
