How do I change the user on the C drive in windows vista?

I just bought this computer from my little brother. I changed the computer name over to my name and changed the users in the control panel over to my name and it says that I am the administrator. However on the C:drive under users it says my little brothers name as the user and doesn't even have me listed. I can't figure out how to change it from him to me or even delete him as a user. Control panel %26gt;%26gt; user accounts %26gt;%26gt; add or remove user accounts.



sounds like you will have to delete the old accounts from that, and then re setup the accounts that you want. That should change the users shown on C, if not dont worry - as they wont be able to gain access.



Also, once you have removed the old account from where i said earlier, you can goto c: %26gt;%26gt; users %26gt;%26gt; and click and delete the folder named 'old user' or whatever his username was.

Jimmy's got you covered if you're talking about switching from one account to another. But if you are asking how to switch from one sign name to another within and account, then I'll answer that just in case.



When you initiate a private message and the box opens, there is a pull-down menu (just above the text field at the bottom) labeled 'Send As:'. Click the blue arrow and all of the SN's on that account will be listed. Click the one you want and then type and send your message.



For chat rooms the pull-down box is at the top of the 'Join Room' box that pops up after selecting 'Join a Room...' from the 'Messenger' menu.



When you first create an alias, you will have to log out of messenger and back in before the name will show up on either pull-down menu.

I have changed the computer's name (which was originally the name of the shop that i bought it from) to %26quot;Jason%26quot; and the Adminstrator name to %26quot;Jason%26quot; by using System Properties. (btw im using Vista)

When you are signed in, on the top right of the page hover your pointer over 'account'...a pop up menu will drop down from which you should choose 'more'...
