How to change user id?

You cannot change your Yahoo! ID except by opening a new account, but you can add up to six (6) aliases to your current ID as part of the same account.



An alias consists of a name and some information that you show in a profile to other members. When you log in to Yahoo!, you can choose any of your aliases.



To create a new alias, on your Yahoo Messenger, click Messenger, then click %26quot;My Profiles.%26quot; The next page will list your ID and any profiles that you may have already created. To make a new profile, click the %26quot;Create New Public Profile%26quot; button near the top.



The only required field is the actual name攁ll other information is optional. You should not reveal any information on your profile that you wouldn't want a complete stranger to know (such as your phone number or address).



When you're done, use the %26quot;Create Profile%26quot; button. This will take you back to your profile list, with your new name added. Make sure to click the %26quot;Finished Editing%26quot; link to save your changes.

When you want to use any of your aliases....You change your user name as follows --



Before selecting the chatroom you want, On the 'Enter Chatroom As' click the down arrow to pick the Yahoo! ID you want to display in the chat room.



When on IM chat --



On 'Send As' (above the window where you type your message) click the down arrow also to pick the Yahoo id you want to display in the IM.
