How can i change my user name to an alias on yahoo chat ?

I dont want to have to make up a new account,i just want to change it when entering chat.How can i change my user name to an alias on yahoo chat ?
go to ur yahoo profile... to go there, go to ur yahoo homepage and click on the ur name which appears in blue, u'll be asked for ur password and u'll have access to ur account frm where u can change passwords ur security questions, change/add alternate emails, create aliases etc...

u'll find create/manage aliases link on the right side.. click it and add a few aliases

then after ur done with it, restart ur yahoo messenger and then whenever u open a chat window, be fore sending any chat, u'll see a drop-down menu (just below the text editing options) asking u to choose ur alias... choose on and the title bar of that window will show ur active alias, u can u se different aliases with different ppl at the same time, but for one person - only one alias, if u want to change ur alias with that person, ask him/her to wait and then reopen his/her chat window and u'll see that option again which disappears after u send or receive ur first chat...
