How do you change the user name in a mac ibook g3?

I have bought a 2nd hand ibook and have managed to change the main username but the computers main name is the previous owners. How do I change the uuser name to one I want? The short name won't change?How do you change the user name in a mac ibook g3?
if OSX it would be a case of re-installing the OS, probably jaguar or earlier will run best on a G3, do you still have the install discs?How do you change the user name in a mac ibook g3?
I would have to add that if it isno Firewire model, then 10.3.9 is the latest you can install.
